PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic) education is an important and necessary part of all children's education.

At East Cowton CE VC Primary School we have adopted the North Yorkshire planning and assessment guide (2013) to offer a needs led progressive programme of study and assess the progress of learners. This is informing our planning of a new School Curriculum from September 2014 - as will the results from 'Growing up in North Yorkshire Survey 2014'. The School is committed to partnership working and listening to the voices of all stakeholders through Parents Forums, School Council and Collective Worship Creators groups. Curriculum and pastoral staff training is a priority as is review of linked policies such as Anti-bullying, e-safety, Healthy eating and Child Protection. The use of pupil premium and sports funding is carefully considered to support PSHE in our School.
